Financial Assistance for Military Spouces
Are you the spouse of an active-duty military member? You may qualify for funding.
Spouse Policies & Procedures
Eligible Spouses
- Sponsor must be DoD active-duty military member – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines
- Activated National Guard or Reserve under Title 10 orders
- Sponsor must have pay grade of: – E-1 through E-5 – O-1 or O-2 – W-1 or W-2
- Spouses must be able to complete their coursework while their sponsor is on active-duty orders

Spouse Policies & Procedures
- Each spouse is eligible for up to $4000 ($2000 fiscal year limit) – Exceptions are made for license/certification programs when the upfront cost is more than $2,000
- Coursework must be completed within 3 years of spouse’s first class start date
- Courses can’t exceed 12 months – 18-month limit for license/certification course
